Thank You to the New Walker

This is a small homage to the new walking phenomenon demonstrated by the pedometer steps blog and other walking and running for weight loss programs. The inspiration from others who are also doing what I'm doing is amazing and effective! Walking and running becomes a symbol of long life and vigor!

This is how it benefits me!
  • it enables me to actually do what I want to do
  • it gives me freedom of activity and success
  • it creates social networks based on more activity that I've ever had before
  • it creates an independence that is fully stable
  • I can look and feel as I want and live that way
  • I am younger than my years easily in looks, vigor and attitude
  • my self image has changed to a cooler one!
And of course weight loss, fitness and peace of mind.

Each to his own of course but control of my body image has enabled me to be exactly who I want whenever I want. We've all got 'other' selves and it is nice to be able to access these occasionally for the entertainment value if  nothing else.


Speaking for myself, though it has been a triumph to come through with a new attitude to walking for life. The key is to realize taking on a new layer of lifestyle such as walking or running is not the end-just as marriage is not the end that as a child I had feared it would be- just preparation for more and even better changes.
